“We follow the divine Master up the slope of Calvary loaded with our cross; and when it pleases him to put us on the cross, that is, to keep us in bed with the sick woman, let us thank him and consider ourselves fortunate for so much honor done to us, knowing that being on the cross with Jesus is a supremely more perfect act than that of contemplating only Jesus in cross.” Padre Pio!
