‘Father, I feel unworthy to receive Holy Communion. I am unworthy!’ Reply: ‘It is true, we are not worthy of such a gift, but it is one thing to receive unworthily in the state of mortal sin and another to be unworthy. We are all unworthy; but it is He who invites us, and He who desires it. Let us humble ourselves and receive Him with our hearts full of love.’ Padre Pio
