Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Mark 6:45-52):

O Lord Jesus Christ, 

You who sent Your disciples ahead into the storm and then came to them walking upon the sea, we place our trust in You.

When the winds of fear rise and the waves of uncertainty surround us, O Lord, remind us that You are near, even when we do not recognize You. Speak again to our troubled hearts: “Take courage. It is I. Do not be afraid”.

Lord, strengthen our faith when it grows weak, and soften our hearts when they become hardened by doubt or weariness. Help us to see Your presence in the midst of our struggles and to trust Your power beyond what we can understand.

As You climbed into the boat and calmed the sea, Lord Jesus, enter our lives and bring Your peace. Lead us safely through every storm, until we reach the shore You have prepared for us. Amen
