Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Matthew 18:15-20):

Lord Jesus Christ,

You call us not to live for ourselves, but as brothers and sisters who belong to one another. Teach us to care enough to correct one another with humility, patience, and love. Lord Jesus, when someone hurts us, keep us from anger, gossip, judgement, and revenge. Give us the courage to speak privately and gently, seeking not to condemn but to restore. Help us remember that fraternal correction is an act of love when it is guided by truth and mercy. Heal the wounds that exist within our families, friendships, communities, and Church. Remove pride from our hearts and replace it with compassion. When we need correction, give us humble hearts willing to listen. When we must correct someone, give us wisdom to speak with kindness.

Lord, you promised that where two or three are gathered in your name, you are there among them. May our homes become places where your presence is welcomed, where forgiveness is offered, where difficult conversations lead to reconciliation, and where love is stronger than division. Teach us never to say, “It is not my concern.” Make us attentive to those who are struggling, lost, wounded, or drifting away from you. Give us the courage to become our brother’s and sister’s keeper.

Lord, bless our families, strengthen marriages, protect children, comfort parents, and bring healing to relationships that have been broken by misunderstanding or resentment. Remember the sick, the lonely, the elderly, and those carrying hidden burdens. Help us to pray together and never underestimate the power of united prayer. Where there is division, bring unity. Where there is bitterness, bring forgiveness. Where there is silence, bring loving truth. Where there is despair, bring hope. Amen
