Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Luke 9:43-45):

Lord Jesus Christ,

Today, Your disciples are amazed by Your mighty works, yet they do not understand when You tell them that the Son of Man will be handed over into the hands of men. Your words were hidden from them, and they were afraid to ask what they meant. Lord, there are also moments in our lives when we do not understand Your ways.

Lord, sometimes we wonder why certain things happen. Sometimes we cannot understand our suffering. Sometimes we question why our prayers seem unanswered. Sometimes the road ahead appears uncertain. But today, Lord, teach us to trust You even when we do not understand. Lord, give us the grace not to measure Your love by our circumstances. When life is difficult, remind us that You are still with us. When we cannot see the way forward, help us to walk by faith.

Lord Jesus, remove fear from our heart. Give us the courage to bring our questions to You rather than allowing uncertainty to separate us from You. Teach us that faith does not mean having every answer; it means trusting the One who holds every answer.

Lord, help us to remember Your Passion, death, and Resurrection. What appeared to be defeat became the victory of salvation. Therefore, when we experience our own trials, help us to believe that You can bring grace and new life even from situations we cannot understand. Give us patience in suffering, humility in success, and perseverance in prayer. Lord, bless our families and loved ones. Protect those who are travelling, strengthen those who are struggling, heal those who are sick, comfort those who are grieving, and give hope to those who feel lost.

Lord Jesus, when we cannot understand Your plan, let us remember one simple truth: You love us. You are with us. And You will never abandon us. May this Saturday bring peace to our heart and renew our confidence in Your providence.

O Blessed Virgin Mary, you remained faithful even when you did not understand everything God was doing. Teach us to imitate your trust and to keep God’s promises in our heart. Amen
