Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Mark 1:14-20)

O Lord Jesus Christ, As You began Your public ministry proclaiming, “Repent, and believe in the Gospel,” we come before You at the start of this new week, seeking renewal of heart and clarity of purpose.

Lord, You called Simon and Andrew, James and John, simple people in the midst of their daily work, and they left their nets at once to follow You. Grant us the grace to hear Your call amid the noise of our lives, and the courage to let go of whatever holds us back from You.

Convert our hearts, Lord, so that our thoughts, words, and actions may reflect the nearness of Your Kingdom. Teach us to trust You more than our own plans, and to follow You not only with our lips,
but with our whole lives.

As this new week unfolds, make us “fishers of people,” witnesses of Your love through kindness, patience, and mercy. May our work, relationships, and struggles be places where Your Gospel is lived and proclaimed.

We place this week into Your hands, Lord Jesus. Lead us on the path of discipleship, and help us to follow You each day with joyful hearts. Amen
