Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (John 1:29-34)

God Our Father, 

On this holy Sunday, as Your Church gathers around the table of the Word and the Eucharist, we lift our hearts to You in praise and thanksgiving.

We listen again to the voice of John the Baptist, who points beyond himself and proclaiming, “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world”. Open our eyes of faith to recognize Jesus, Your beloved Son, present among us in the Scriptures and truly present in the Eucharistic bread and wine.

Lord, Lamb of God, You are the One upon whom the Spirit rests, the One sent to bring freedom, healing, and peace. Take away our sins, cleanse our hearts, and renew within us the grace of our baptism, so that we may live as children of light.

As we gather at Your table, Lord, teach us to listen attentively to Your Word
and to receive Your Body and Blood with humility and love. May this sacred encounter transform us, strengthening our communion with You and with one another as one body in Christ.

O Holy Spirit, who revealed Jesus as the Son of God, guide us this week to bear witness to Him in our daily lives. Make us instruments of mercy, reconciliation, and hope, so that others, through us, may also behold the Lamb of God. Amen
