Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Luke 2:22-40) as we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord and Day of Consecrated Life:

God Our Father,on this holy Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, we praise You for the gift of Your Son, presented in the Temple as Light for the nations and glory for Your people Israel.

Lord Jesus,
like Mary and Joseph, obedient and faithful, You were offered to the Father in humility and love. Teach us to present our lives to God each day, not holding back, but trusting fully in His will. We thank You for Simeon and Anna, who waited with hope, prayer, and perseverance. Through their witness, remind us that a life rooted in prayer never grows old in faith, and that those who hope in You will never be disappointed.

Today, O Lord, we celebrate the Day of Consecrated Life. We thank You for men and women who have offered their lives totally to You through vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. May their lives be a living prophecy, a sign of the Kingdom to come, and a light in a world often tempted by comfort and self-interest.

Strengthen all consecrated persons in their vocation. Renew their joy, deepen their fidelity, and sustain them in moments of trial or fatigue. May their lives, like Yours, be a gift offered for the salvation of the world. Grant also to all of us the grace of interior consecration, that whatever our state of life, we may belong entirely to You, with our hearts, our talents, and our daily choices.

Lord, You are the Light that enlightens every nation. Dispel the darkness of fear, indifference, and sin. Make us bearers of Your light in our families, in the Church, and in the world. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who offered You with a trusting heart, and through all the saints who consecrated their lives to You, receive our prayer and our lives this day. Amen
