Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Mark 6:7-13) as we celebrate the Memorial of St. Agatha, Virgin and Martyr:

Lord Jesus Christ, 

You sent Your apostles out two by two, poor in possessions yet rich in faith, @rmed not with power, but with trust in Your name. On this Memorial of St. Agatha, we praise You for the courage of a young woman who embraced the Gospel with an undivided heart and bore witness to You even unto martyrdom.

Grant us, Lord, the grace to go forth as Your disciples, simple in spirit, free from fear, and ready to proclaim repentance, healing, and hope
in a world wounded by sin and injustice.

Like St. Agatha, give us purity of heart, strength in trial, and fidelity to You when faith is tested. May we never compromise the truth of the Gospel for comfort, approval, or security. Send us out, Lord, into our homes, workplaces, digital spaces, and communities, to drive out the demons of hatred and despair, to anoint the suffering with compassion, and to make Your love visible through our lives.

Lord, teach us to rely not on what we carry, but on the One who sends us. May our witness, though humble, open hearts to Your saving grace. Amen
