Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Matthew 21:33-43, 45-46)

Lord Jesus Christ, We come before You today, Friday of Lent as we meditate on Your holy Cross. You remind us the parable of the vineyard. The servants sent by the master were rejected, beaten, and k1lled. Finally, the Beloved Son was sent, yet he too was cast out and put to de@th.

Lord Jesus, You came into the vineyard of this world with mercy, truth, and salvation. Yet humanity rejected You and led You outside the city to suffer and die upon the Cross. O Crucified Lord, as we contemplate Your sacrifice this Lenten Friday, we recognize that our sins also wounded You. Our pride, our selfishness, our indifference, all have contributed to the weight of the Cross You carried. Forgive us, merciful Savior and transform our hearts of stone into hearts that bear the fruits of Your Kingdom, faith, justice, humility, and love.

Lord Jesus, You are the stone rejected by the builders that has become the cornerstone. Help us to build our lives upon You alone, for without You our works crumble and fade. Teach us during this holy season to embrace the Cross with patience and hope. When suffering comes into our lives, let us unite it with Your redemptive sacrifice. When we face rejection or difficulty, let us remember that Your love triumphed through the Cross.

Lord Jesus, by Your Passion You turned suffering into salvation and death into life. Draw us closer to Your wounded Heart so that we may walk faithfully toward Easter. May the Cross we contemplate today become the light that guides our Lenten journey and the sign of the love that redeems the world. Amen
