Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Mark 12:28-34):

Lord Jesus Christ, You revealed the greatest commandment when You said: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength”. Teach us, O Lord, to love You completely. May our hearts belong entirely to You, our thoughts seek Your wisdom, our strength serve Your will, and our lives give glory to Your holy name.

Lord Jesus, You also taught us the second commandment to “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Help us to see every person as a child of God and our brother or sister. Remove from our hearts all selfishness, indifference, and pride. Fill us with compassion, patience, and kindness, so that our love may reflect Your own.

Lord Jesus, let our worship not be only words and rituals, but a living love expressed through mercy and justice. Teach us that true devotion to You is shown in how we treat others. When we struggle to love, remind us of the love You showed us on the Cross. When our hearts grow tired, renew us with the grace of Your Spirit and may we grow each day in love for You and in service to our neighbors, until we dwell fully in Your Kingdom, where love is perfected forever. Amen
