Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (John 8:21-30):

Lord Jesus Christ,

You are the One sent by the Father, the true light who came into the world to lead us from darkness into life. You speak of a path that many do not understand today, a path that leads through the mystery of the Cross to the fullness of life in the Father. Lord, we confess that at times we fail to understand Your words. We seek certainty yet struggle to trust; we hear Your voice, yet hesitate to follow. Strengthen our faith, O Lord, that we may recognize You as the Son of God, the Savior who alone gives life.

Lord, lift our hearts to You, especially when we feel lost or uncertain. Help us to believe even  when we do not fully see, and to trust in Your presence even in moments of darkness. Lord Jesus, You declared that when You are lifted up, we will come to know who You truly are. Teach us to contemplate Your Cross, where Your love is revealed in its fullness. May we find in Your sacrifice the truth about God’s mercy and the meaning of our own lives.

Father of mercy, You are always with Your Son, and You never leave Him alone. Remain also with us, that we may never feel abandoned but always upheld by Your grace. Form in us hearts that seek to do what is pleasing to You. Guide our thoughts, our words, and our actions, so that our lives may bear witness to Your truth. Help us, Lord, to remain in Your Word, to grow in faith, and to live as true disciples. May Your truth set us free, and may Your love lead us to eternal life. Amen
