Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Luke 1:26-38) as we celebrate the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord:

God Our Father, in Your infinite love, You chose the humble Virgin of Nazareth to become the Mother of Your Son. In the mystery of the Annunciation, You sent the angel Gabriel to bring the message of salvation to Blessed Virgin Mary. Full of grace, she listened with faith, questioned with humility, and responded with total trust: “Let it be done to me according to your word.”

Lord, teach us to imitate her “yes.” In moments of uncertainty, give us the courage to trust Your plan. When Your will seems difficult or mysterious, help us to surrender with faith and love. O Blessed Virgin Mary, model of obedience and humility, you welcomed the Word into your heart before you bore Him in your womb. Intercede for us, that we too may receive Christ in our lives and bring Him to others. Lord Jesus Christ, eternal Word made flesh, You chose to dwell among us through the obedience of Mary. Dwell also in our hearts and transform us by Your grace. Help us to become instruments of Your presence in our families, communities, and the world. May our lives reflect Your love, and may our words proclaim Your truth.

O Holy Spirit, who overshadowed the Virgin Mary, we invite You to come upon us and renew us. Fill us with Your light and strength, that we may respond generously to God’s call in our lives. On this holy solemnity, we give thanks for the mystery of the Incarnation, where heaven touched earth and salvation began to unfold. May we, like Mary, be open to God’s will, faithful in our vocation, and joyful in serving His plan. Amen
