Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (John 16:20-23):

Lord Jesus Christ,

You know the sorrows and struggles of our hearts. You told Your disciples: “You will weep and mourn, but your sorrow will turn into joy.” Today, we bring before You our fears, disappointments, and hidden pains, trusting that in You, suffering is never the final word. When we experience moments of sadness, uncertainty, or loss, help us to remember that Your Resurrection transforms sorrow into hope and darkness into light. Give us patience to endure difficult times, believing that Your joy awaits beyond every trial.

Lord, like a mother who endures pain to bring forth new life, teach us to trust that even our struggles can bear fruit when united with Your Cross. Strengthen us to persevere in faith, knowing that You are always at work, even when we cannot yet see the fullness of Your plan. Fill our hearts with the joy that comes from Your presence, a joy that the world cannot give and no sorrow can take away. May our hope remain firm in You, especially in moments when life feels uncertain.

Teach us also to pray with confidence, trusting in the Father’s love and mercy. May our prayers be filled with faith, and our hearts remain open to Your will. Lord Jesus, turn our mourning into hope, our anxiety into trust, and our weakness into strength. May we live always in the joy of Your Resurrection, until the day we rejoice forever in Your Kingdom.
