Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Matthew 18:1-5.10.12-14)): Feast of Saint Clare of Assisi, Virgin

 God Our Father,

we praise and thank You for the gift of Saint Clare of Assisi, a woman of profound faith, humility, poverty, and love. Through her intercession, teach us to seek greatness not in power or recognition, but in becoming humble servants of Your Kingdom.

Lord Jesus, today, You place a child before Your disciples and remind us that “unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Give us the simplicity of heart to trust You completely, the humility to depend upon Your grace, and the purity to seek Your will above our own.

Like Saint Clare, may we discover that true riches are not found in possessions but in Christ, our greatest treasure. Free our hearts from excessive attachment to material things, selfish ambitions, and the desire for human approval. Teach us to treasure the simplicity of the Gospel and the joy of belonging completely to You.

Lord, bless Your Church, especially those who dedicate their lives to prayer and contemplation. May the daughters of St. Clare continue to witness to the beauty of poverty, simplicity, Eucharistic devotion, and complete trust in Divine Providence.

O Holy Spirit, give us the courage of St. Clare, who remained faithful to Christ even in moments of trial. May her example inspire us to live with greater humility, love the poor, forgive generously, and place our entire lives in God’s hands.
