Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Matthew 20:1-16):

Lord Jesus Christ,

Protect us from jealousy and comparison. When we see others receiving blessings that we think we deserve, teach us to rejoice in Your goodness rather than complain. Help us to remember that everything we have is already a gift from You. Give us grateful hearts, especially when we are tempted to say, “It is not fair.” Teach us that Your grace is not a reward we can claim, but a gift we receive with humility and thanksgiving.

Lord, You call each of us at different moments to work in Your vineyard. Some are called early in life, others later; some serve You publicly, while others serve quietly and unnoticed. May we never think that it is too late to respond to Your invitation. Give us the grace to answer Your call whenever You speak to our hearts. May we work faithfully without seeking recognition, knowing that You see every sacrifice, every prayer, and every act of love.

O Holy Spirit, free us from pride, envy, competition, and resentment. Teach us to appreciate the gifts and vocations of others and to rejoice whenever Your grace touches their lives. Bless those who feel that they have arrived late in life, those who are searching for purpose, and those who believe they have little to offer. Remind them that there is always a place for them in God’s vineyard. Amen
