Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Matthew 22:34-40): Memorial of Saint Pius X, Pope

Lord Jesus Christ,

Today, You give us the heart of Christian life: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” And You add: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” Teach us to love You not only with our words, but with our entire lives. May our thoughts, decisions, work, relationships, and daily sacrifices become expressions of our love for You.

Lord, increase our love for the Eucharist and for Your Holy Church. Like St. Pius X, may we hunger for the grace of Christ and recognize the Eucharist as the nourishment that strengthens us on our journey of faith. Give us also a generous heart toward our neighbour. Help us to see Christ in the poor, the suffering, the forgotten, the stranger, and those who need our forgiveness and compassion.

St. Pius X, faithful shepherd of God’s people, pray for us. Obtain for us the courage to defend our faith, the humility to remain faithful to Christ, and the wisdom to proclaim the Gospel through both our words and our lives. Amen
