Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (John 1:45-51): Feast of Saint Bartholomew, Apostle

 Lord Jesus Christ,

Today, Philip tells Nathanael, “Come and see.” Lord Jesus, help us to come to You with open hearts, leaving behind our doubts, prejudices, and fears. Like Nathanael, may we recognize You as the Son of God and King of Israel, and allow our encounter with You to transform our lives.

Lord, You know us completely, just as You knew Nathanael before he came to You. Teach us to remember that we are never hidden from Your loving gaze. When we feel forgotten, misunderstood, or unworthy, remind us that You see us and call us by name. Through the intercession of St. Bartholomew, give us the courage to proclaim Christ faithfully, not merely with our words but through lives of truth, integrity, humility, and charity. May our witness lead others to say, like Nathanael, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God.”

Lord, bless Your Church and all who are called to proclaim the Gospel. Strengthen missionaries, priests, religious, and lay faithful who bring Your message to places where Christ is not yet known.
