Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Mark 4:35-41) as we celebrate the Memorial of Saint Don Bosco:

O Lord Jesus Christ, 

You who calmed the storm and brought peace to troubled hearts, we come before You with our fears, our anxieties, and the storms that rage within and around us.

In the boat with Your disciples, You seemed asleep, yet You were always present, Lord. Teach us, in moments of trial and uncertainty, to trust that You are with us even when You appear silent. Strengthen our faith when we cry out, “Lord, do You not care?”

Today we remember St. John Bosco, a gentle and courageous shepherd of the young, who trusted in Your providence amid many storms, poverty, misunderstanding, and hardship. Through his example, Lord, help us to face challenges with patience, joy, and unwavering confidence in You.

Calm the storms in our families, in our communities, and in our world. Speak Your word of peace to hearts shaken by fear, to young people searching for meaning, and to all who feel lost or overwhelmed.

Lord Jesus, increase our faith, that we may recognize Your power and love, and follow You with the trust of true disciples. May we, like St. John Bosco, lead others to You with kindness, hope, and faith. You are Lord of wind and sea, and Lord of our lives, now and forever. Amen
