Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Mark 6:53-56)

Lord Jesus Christ, 

As You stepped ashore at Gennesaret, the people recognized You and hurried to bring their sick to You, trusting in Your saving presence. At the start of this new week, we come to You with the same faith. We bring before You our weaknesses and wounds, our worries and hopes, our work, our families, and our plans.

Like those who reached out to touch even the fringe of Your cloak, Lord, teach us to trust in Your nearness. Heal what is broken within us, strengthen what is weak, and restore in us the joy of Your mercy.

Go with us, Lord, into our homes, our workplaces, our streets and marketplaces. May Your presence transform every place we enter, and may we become bearers of Your compassion to all we meet. As we begin this week, keep us close to You Lord and help us to seek You with faith, to walk with humility, and to live each day in the hope that all who touch You are made whole. Amen
