Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Mark 7:24-30)

Lord Jesus Christ, 

You who listened to the cry of the foreign woman, who saw beyond boundaries of race and nation, and who rewarded humble and persistent faith, we come before You today with trust.

Like the Syrophoenician mother, Lord, we kneel before You aware of our unworthiness, yet confident in Your mercy. We bring to You the needs of our families, the wounds of our loved ones, and the burdens we carry in silence.

Lord, when Your ways seem mysterious and Your answers delayed, give us perseverance. When we feel discouraged or distant, teach us to cling to You all the more. Grant us the humility to accept our dependence on You and the courage to keep asking, seeking, and knocking.

Lord Jesus, You are the Bread of Life, and even the smallest crumb of Your grace is enough to heal, restore, and transform. Speak Your word over our homes, and let Your healing power flow into every broken place. Break down the walls that divide us, Lord, and widen our hearts to welcome all who seek Your mercy. May we learn from this woman’s faith, bold, trusting, and persistent, and may we never doubt that Your compassion extends to every nation and every soul. Amen
