Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Matthew 11:25-30):

Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,

On this beautiful Solemnity dedicated to Your Sacred Heart, we come before You with love, gratitude, and trust. We adore the Heart that has loved humanity so deeply, so faithfully, and so completely, even unto the Cross.

Lord Jesus, You lift Your eyes to the Father and rejoice that the mysteries of the Kingdom are revealed to the humble and the little ones. Grant us the grace of humility, that we may approach You not with pride or self-sufficiency, but with the simplicity and trust of children.

Lord, You lovingly invite us: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” Today we bring to Your Sacred Heart all our burdens: our worries and anxieties, our disappointments and failures, our wounds and sorrows, our fears about the future, and the silent struggles known only to You.

Lord, teach us to take upon ourselves Your yoke, which is easy, and Your burden, which is light. Help us to learn from You, who are meek and humble of heart. In a world marked by pride, competition, and division, make us instruments of humility, gentleness, and reconciliation.

Lord Jesus, Your Sacred Heart burns with love for every person. Open our hearts to love as You love: to forgive as You forgive, to serve as You serve, and to welcome others with compassion and mercy. We pray for our families, our communities, and our Church. Draw all people closer to Your Sacred Heart. Bless those who suffer from loneliness, illness, poverty, injustice, or despair. May they find refuge in Your unfailing love.

Lord, as we contemplate Your Sacred Heart, pierced for our salvation, renew our faith in Your presence and deepen our trust in Your promises. May our hearts become more like Yours—filled with charity, patience, purity, and self-giving love.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, make our hearts Your dwelling place. May every beat of our hearts echo Your love, and may our lives bear witness to the tenderness of Your mercy. Amen
