Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Matthew 6:24-34):

Lord Jesus Christ,

You gently remind us not to worry about our lives, what we shall eat, what we shall drink, or what we shall wear. You point us to the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, teaching us that if our Heavenly Father cares so wonderfully for His creation, how much more will He care for us.

Lord, we confess that we often allow anxiety, fear, and uncertainty to burden our hearts. We worry about our future, our families, our health, our work, our finances, and the many challenges that surround us. Today, we place all these concerns into Your hands. Help us to remember that no worry can add a single moment to our lives, but trust in You can fill our lives with peace and hope.

Lord Jesus, You teach us that no one can serve two masters. Purify our hearts from every attachment that competes with our love for You. Free us from the temptation to place wealth, success, power, or worldly security above Your Kingdom.

Lord, teach us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that everything else will be given to us according to Your loving will. When we are tempted to despair, strengthen our faith. When we are overwhelmed by uncertainty, renew our hope. When we are distracted by worldly concerns, draw our hearts back to You.

Lord Jesus, bless those who are struggling to provide for their families, those searching for work, those burdened by debt, those suffering from illness, and those facing difficult decisions. May they experience Your providential care and discover that You are always near.

Lord, grant us the grace to live one day at a time, trusting that each day carries enough grace for its own challenges. Help us not to be imprisoned by the regrets of yesterday or the fears of tomorrow, but to live faithfully in the present moment where Your mercy awaits us.

O Holy Spirit, Fill our hearts with confidence in God’s providence. Teach us to surrender our worries to the Father and to walk in the freedom of those who know they are loved and cared for by Him. Amen
