Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Matthew 12:38-42):

Lord Jesus Christ,

You remind us today that the greatest sign is not one that dazzles the eyes but the gift of Your Death and Resurrection, through which You conquered sin and opened for us the way to eternal life. Forgive us for the times we seek extraordinary signs while overlooking the daily signs of Your presence in the Holy Eucharist, in Your Word, in the Sacraments, and in the ordinary moments of our lives.

Lord, grant us hearts that believe without demanding proof at every turn. Like the people of Nineveh who repented at Jonah’s preaching, give us the humility to listen to Your Word and the courage to change whatever distances us from You. Help us not only to admire Your Gospel but to live it with conviction and joy.

Lord Jesus, as we begin this week, fill us with the wisdom that comes from above. Guide our decisions, strengthen us in moments of temptation, and keep us faithful to our Christian calling. May our words bring encouragement, our actions reflect Your mercy, and our lives bear witness to the hope found in You.

Lord, bless our families, protect those who travel, comfort the sick, strengthen the weary, and inspire all who have lost hope. May this week become a time of grace, reconciliation, and renewed trust in Your loving providence. Amen
