Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Matthew 13:10-17): Feast of Saint Bridget of Sweden, Patroness of Europe

Lord Jesus Christ,

You addressed Your disciples, “Blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.” Open our eyes to recognize Your presence in the Holy Eucharist, in Sacred Scripture, in the poor and suffering, and in the ordinary moments of our daily lives. Open our ears to hear Your Word with faith, humility, and obedience.

Lord, remove from our hearts every form of spiritual blindness and hardness that prevents us from receiving Your truth. May we never hear Your Gospel without allowing it to transform our thoughts, our choices, and our way of life.

Lord Jesus, as we honor St. Bridget, grant us the grace to become men and women of deep prayer and courageous witness. Help us to seek Your will above our own, to remain faithful amid the challenges of our times, and to work tirelessly for the unity of Your Church and the peace of the world.

Today, we pray especially for the nations of Europe and for all peoples throughout the world. Renew hearts with the light of the Gospel, strengthen families in faith and love, guide leaders with wisdom and justice, and inspire young people to seek Christ, who alone gives lasting hope and peace. Amen
