Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Matthew 14:22-36):

Lord Jesus Christ,

Today, You came to Your disciples across the stormy sea and spoke the words that continue to calm every fearful heart: “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” When the waves of uncertainty, anxiety, or suffering rise around us, help us to keep our eyes fixed on You. Strengthen our faith so that we may never sink under the weight of fear or doubt.

Lord, like Saint Peter, teach us to trust Your call, to step out in faith, and to rely not on our own strength but on Your unfailing grace. Whenever we falter, stretch out Your hand to lift us up and lead us safely through the storms of life.

Bless this new week, Lord. Guide our decisions, protect us from all harm, grant wisdom in our work, peace in our homes, and compassion in our relationships. May every challenge become an opportunity to grow in faith and every blessing a reason to give You thanks.

O Holy Spirit, fill our hearts with courage and hope. Help us to recognize Christ’s presence in every circumstance and to be instruments of His peace to all whom we meet.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Star of the Sea, accompany us throughout this week, leading us always to her Son, who is our refuge, our strength, and our everlasting hope. Amen
