Let us pray with today’s Gospel Reading (Luke 8:19-21):

Lord Jesus Christ,

Today You declare: “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it.” Teach us not only to hear Your Word but to live it faithfully. When Your Word calls us to forgive, give us the grace to forgive. When it calls us to love, teach us to love without conditions. When it calls us to serve, give us a generous heart. When it calls us to be patient, remove anger from our heart. When it calls us to trust, strengthen our faith. When it calls us to remain silent, teach us wisdom. When it calls us to speak, give us words that bring healing.

Lord, let Your Word take root deeply within us. May it shape our thoughts, guide our decisions, and transform the way we treat others. Help us not to be Christians only in words, but in actions, compassion, humility, and love. May our faith be visible in the way we live each day.

Lord, bless our families and all those whom we love. Bring peace to our homes, healing to the sick, comfort to those who are grieving, strength to those who are struggling, and hope to those who feel forgotten.

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus, you listened to God’s Word and faithfully lived according to His will. Teach us to imitate your obedience and trust. Help us to say every day, “Let it be done to me according to Your Word.”

Lord Jesus, make us part of Your family, not merely by calling Your name, but by hearing Your Word, keeping it, and putting it into practice. May our life bear witness to the Gospel and bring Your love to everyone we meet. Amen
